The fast track to Treesaver design

To help you take advantage of Treesaver® technology quickly, Treesaver offers pre-designed grids. They’re grouped into themes—a set of basic pages.

You can use these themes right out of the “box”—adapt them as you see fit—or engage the Treesaver design team to modify them to fit your brand. We’re offering additional services: support, hosting and updates. See below for details.

At launch, we’re introducing two themes, Trumbull and Sanford. Each includes Webtype® fonts for unprecedented readability on the screen.

Trumbull

For publishers creating a rich and attractive magazine. This design is by the accomplished magazine art director Robb Rice, who created the complementary Adobe InDesign templates at Ready-Media.com. Treesaver’s Scott Kellum worked with Robb to build the Treesaver digital version. The included grids are:

Sanford

For news. This theme is great for publications with frequent updates that want a straightforward presentation. Sanford can take in RSS feeds via a Treesaver-hosted solution. The grids are:

Story

Every grid in both themes includes HTML and CSS files and the Treesaver Javascript framework. There is a choice of Webtype fonts included with each theme.

Themes are delivered as zip files with each grid in HTML and CSS, and the complete Treesaver Javascript code—the latest and most complete version, usually in advance of the open source code release.

Solution alternatives

DIRECT: Buy a theme and make adjustments yourself.
MODIFIED: Treesaver’s staff can customize the grids for you, changing colors, layouts, fonts, and more, or create new grids you may need, such as pages for sports, recipes or another subject area, and give you other functionality you may need. We can create a custom, branded HTML5 app. We’ve adapted Treesaver code to make hybrid applications for iOS, and are working on Android so that publishers can distribute through networks like the Apple App Store and the Google Android Market.
UPDATES: For a reasonable monthly fee, we will send you future updates and improvements, such as code fixes, and new features and fonts.
HOSTING: Treesaver can host your Sanford theme grids, so you send us your feed and we turn it into Treesaver pages. More hosted solutions are being developed for introduction later this year.
