The smart new way to build an iPad app

Sporting News has launched a daily digital edition that doesn’t take a league of production artists and coders to produce. Introduced in time for the football season, The Sporting News is built on the Treesaver® HTML5 framework.

The Sporting News, a new iPad app built on the Treesaver platform, is now available at Apple’s App Store.

The web edition follows soon, and so the publication will work on any device that has a browser. Content divides into pages with simple, intuitive navigation. Layouts automatically adjust to fit any size screen—from smartphone to tablet to notebook to desktop.

The Sporting News has a social layer with Facebook Connect, Facebook Comments, Twitter feeds—as well as sharing. The edition can be personalized for more coverage. There is rich video, extensive “agate,” and link recommendations—all running on web standards.
